Greg Siple


Greg Siple (Montana, USA), inspired by hisfather’s 1930s cycling scrapbooks and stories, rode his first 100-mile day in 1961 at age fifteen. He founded TOSRV with his father in 1962. He, with his wife, June Siple, rode from Alaska toArgentina, 1972-5, to become the second man toride the length of the Western Hemisphere andJune the first woman to do so. He is a co-founder of Bikecentennial (now the AdventureCycling Association) where he spent most of hisworking life as art director, retiring in 2017. AtACA between 1982 and 2016 he shot a photoportrait collection of 5,000 visiting cycle touristswith their packed bicycles (See Cycle History20, pp. 57-62). [email protected]
